McMaster, McIntyre & Smyth, LLP has been serving clients in the west Toronto area since 1902. The firm is currently comprised of four lawyers and their support staff. The basis for the firm's longevity is personal service. Clients of McMaster, McIntyre & Smyth, LLP are assured that if they have any questions a lawyer will discuss the matter with them. The firm operates a general practice and has broad experience in estate planning and administration, wills and trusts, residential and commercial real estate transactions and corporate commercial practice.

James (Jim) Alexander Smyth

Jim has an extensive understanding of estate administration. He is a seasoned mediator, able to cut through contentious issues and bring parties to a resolution avoiding expensive litigation. In addition to his estate practice Jim has a broad wills and trusts practice. Jim obtained his Honours B.A. from Queen's University in 1969, became a Chartered Accountant in 1972 and began working with Price Waterhouse. In 1978 he received his law degree from University of Toronto and was called to the bar in 1980. Jim is not accepting new clients and files but his experience and knowledge is available to the firm when required.
